A Cold, Warm Welcome to NC

I am now at my new home to start this journey, and man has it been an overwhelming experience of feelings. Emotionally I am so happy to be here, nervous about starting the internship, content with my new hometown, and physically, COLD.
There is like 12 inches of snow on the ground with a layer of ice on top of that, it is fun but dangerous. I arrived on Saturday the 26th and got all settled in and waited on Kathleen, my cabin/house mate and fellow intern from the girls camp, Crestridge (yeah i know Ridgecrest/Crestridge, very creative). She is one of the coolest chicks period so stoked to be living and working and hanging out with her for the next 5 months solid until camp starts. God has already been working hard in my life with my being up here. On Sunday, all the other staffers that came up for the Staff Reunion showed up and it was great to see old friends and hang out and talk them into coming back next year, it worked on some, some it did not. But they all left yesterday, and now its a lot more lonely. I am having to rely on God to be my best friend and someone to talk to and lean on. And to also be my source of patience in dealing with new situations and new challenges. I hope to update this blog from time to time just to reflect on what is going on in life and to allow some people close to me to see whats up in my life. It has been hard to be away from Starkville, and Mississippi, but I can't begin to explain how blessed I feel to be in a place of such beauty and where I know I will be doing God's work for one of the greatest places on earth.. Camp Ridgecrest. Right now there is no internet in our cabin, so the updates may be spotty for a while have to come to the local coffee house in Black Mountain to use the internet, yeah no internet or cable for the next 9 months will be interesting/refreshing/needed. But I will update as much as possible and hope to start a community on here. But as of right now Kathleen and I are headed to have dinner at the Bistro with a friend from Starkville who I ran into yesterday who will be here until tomorrow! Great to know how small the world is! Until next time i will leave you with pictures of camp and some awesome guys!
